New Game of Thrones Tour Available

Game of ThronesWe are excited to work with Pendragon Tours to make the new Game of Thrones tour available to people and visitors in Kells and the Boyne Valley.

Game of Thrones is an American fantasy drama television series which is an adaptation of A Song of Ice and Fire, George R. R. Martin‘s series of fantasy novels, the first of which is titled A Game of Thrones.

It is filmed in a Belfast studio and on location elsewhere in Northern Ireland, Malta, Scotland, Croatia, Iceland, the United States, Spain and Morocco, and it premiered on HBO in the United States on April 17, 2011.

The series, set on the fictional continents of Westeros and Essos at the end of a decade-long summer, interweaves several plot lines seen through the eyes of a broad ensemble cast.

This new full day tour will take you to visit Winterfell – see several film locations on the Irish coast: Castle Ward, Dark Hedges, Cushedun Caves, Carrick-a-Rede, Ballintoy Harbour etc.  In the afternoon there is the option to visit the Giant’s Causeway.

Meath Tour Guides Attend the Boyne Valley Conference 28th February 2014

deletehe inaugural Boyne Valley Tourism Conference was held in the City North Hotel, Gormanston, County Meath on February 28th 2014.

Organised by Meath and Louth Local Authorities, with support from Fáilte Ireland, the Conference was attended by tour operators, travel writers, professional conference organisers, decision makers and representatives from the tourism trade within the region.
